Who is TAG Kiama?

TAG Kiama is all about youth empowerment. We aim to involve young people—from secondary school age through early adulthood—in the vibrant Show movement, nurturing community spirit, leadership, and teamwork.

Why Get Involved?

For Youth:

  • Build confidence and leadership skills.

  • Meet mentors and fellow volunteers—including passionate advocates like Grace McGlinchey, who transformed her Show experience into a powerful voice for youth engagement thebuglenews.com.au.

For Parents:

  • TAG Kiama provides a supportive environment fostering responsibility, communication, and community pride.

  • Young people gain practical skills—public speaking, event planning, teamwork—within a safe and supervised setting.

 

What You Can Do with TAG Kiama:

  • Volunteer across a variety of areas - from event support and social media to youth-led activities like school engagement, horses, cows, pavilion works or wood chop!

  • Participate in planning, helping bring fresh ideas to life.

  • Collaborate with experienced mentors and community organisers.

  • Take part in networking events

You'll hear from us soon, once we’ve reviewed your interest, about the next steps and introductory sessions.

We'll introduce you to volunteer opportunities tailored to your interests, skills, and level of experience.

Ages 14 to 35 are encouraged, but we will always welcome ages outside of this bracket. 

  • Is there a cost?

No - joining TAG Kiama is free! Training and support are provided at no expense.

 

  • Who’s involved?

TAG Kiama is an initiative of the Kiama Show Society, supported by volunteers, committee members, local schools, and passionate young leaders.
