175 YEARS OF TRADITION

Established on 24th November 1848, the Kiama Show Society is one of the oldest Agricultural Show Societies still in existence in Australia. It is one of the five oldest in NSW. It's even older than Kiama Municipal Council!

The Kiama Agricultural and Horticultural Show Society formed in 1848 and held their first show in February 1849 at the Fitzroy Inn. Our community and our Show has gone through many changes since then, but what remains constant is that the Kiama Show is a great family event.

BECOME KIAMA SHOW YOUNG WOMAN

Becoming Kiama Show Young Woman is your chance to represent the community locally and at state level. It teaches leadership skills, public speaking and poise under pressure. So if you or someone you know is interested click below. Competition is open to women from 18 to 25 years old.

OUR LONGEST RUNNING COMMUNITY EVENT

Did you know that the Kiama Show Society is 11 years older than our Municipal Council?

Held continually since being established in 1848, 2024 will be our 176th Show.

The history of the Show is the history of our community, through its roots in the agricultural and dairy industries, closely following its growth and development and today reflecting the diversified activities taking place in our region.
